Returning books to the library

• Books can be returned via Omniva parcel machine and parcel fee is charged from sender. Please choose the Tartu Tuglase Rimi as the receiving parcel machine and Eesti Maaülikooli raamatukogu as the recipient of the parcel. For the required contact phone number please enter 5223616.
• Loaned books can be sent to the library with parcel post to the address EMÜ raamatukogu, Kreutzwaldi 1A, Tartu 51006
• Contactless book return is possible on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 12 PM.  For that you have to approach to the library form the side of Torn hostel. Come to the entrance between the wings of the mainbuilding and call +372 5223616.
• Due dates of the books are extended automatically until 1st of  June.

 

Ordering books and contactless borrowing

Teachers can order books by internal mail:

• Search for the book from e-catalogue ESTER (www.ester.ee). Before ordering make sure that the status of the book is AVAILABLE and it can be lended.
• Order item from e-catalogue ESTER  using function REQUEST. Choose Estonian University of Life Sciences Library and log in to your personal ESTER account. Provide additional information about the study building where Library can send the books (receiving delivery must be agreed with Head of the department or secretary).
• It is possible to order only two (2) books at the same time. 

Students can order books to parcel machine at the receiver`s expense.

• Search for the book from e-catalogue ESTER (www.ester.ee). Before ordering make sure that the status of the book is AVAILABLE and it can be lended.
• Order item from e-catalogue ESTER  using function REQUEST. Choose Estonian University of Life Sciences Library and log in to your personal ESTER account. Provide additional information to which parcel machine (the provider: Omniva) you would like to have the books to be sent and add your phonenumber as well.
• It is possible to order only two (2) books at the same time. 

Transfere of the books with internal mail and to parcel machine takes place once in a week, on Wednesdays.

 

Using scientific databases

All databases listed at library `s webpage LIBRARY RESOURCES are accessible through EMÜ OpenVPN connect. Software can be installed to computer (or any other smart device) from tunnel.emu.ee  and switched on by using EMÜ username and password (same as in study system ÕIS). Instructions for installation can be found HERE.To find study materials it is most convenient to search from  EBSCO Discovery:  this is a search engine that gathers together all the databases that are purchased by EMÜ and many OpenAccess databases as well.

From online catalogue ESTER you can find all purchased e-books by using keyword EMÜR e-raamatud for searching.
