SAGE Research Methods: Cases and Datasets (trial)

From November 14 to December 13,

SAGE Research Methods: Cases and Datasets

are available at the Estonian University of Life Sciences network

SAGE Research Methods: Cases

Learn from stories of real research

SAGE Research Methods Cases put research concepts into a real-world context. Written by researchers in the field, cases focus on how they designed their studies, including method selection and application. Users can search cases by keywords to find projects on similar topics to their own to find inspiration on the best methods to use. Because each case examines successes and struggles faced throughout the project, users will also learn how researchers need to make constant decisions throughout their study and pivot when a method or data source is not working out. With more than 2,000 cases, SAGE Research Methods Cases has a multitude of research examples from across the social science disciplines.

SAGE Research Methods: Datasets

Master data analysis with hands-on practice

Sometimes the best way of learning a new technique is through doing. SAGE Research Methods Datasets provide that opportunity for users looking to master quantitative or qualitative data analysis. Each title provides sample data that has been optimized for demonstrating a method, accompanied by a how-to guide that explains the method at hand and walks users through the analysis using the data provided. Quantitative examples also include software guides for statistical analysis using SPSS, R, Stata, or Python. After some hands-on practice, users will be more confident when they go on to analyze their data. Several examples cover how to manage imperfect data, including missing data, rescaling variables, and other common data-cleaning scenarios.
