On that day, Marek Metslaid's doctoral thesis was the first to be uploaded to DSpace Growth of Advance Regeneration of Norway Spruce After Clearcutlink opens in new page.
Don't get discouraged by the term digital archive! It is not a closed space, but an open access environment created for collection and preservation. The works in the EMU DSpace can be found using Google, Google Scholar, Base, OpenAIRE and many other search engines. The library has done a lot of work to make available to the world 8,140 scientific works created by the members of the Estonian University of Life Sciences or related to the fields of responsibility of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. This is how we support the competitiveness of the university and the development of a knowledge-based society:

EMU DSpace has accumulated 4 908 777 visits, of which 888 789 last year.
We are very happy that researchers have begun to prefer the repository of their home university, because we are reliable partners and we try to support in every way. In the future as well!
We have experienced a very pleasant cooperation. As examples, we can cite the Lake Peipsi data series (1962-2022) of the Collection at EULS or the hosting of the research outputs of the TRICELAKE and VALORTECH projects.
Looking to the future, our goals and expectations are high: we want to provide every member of the university with the most convenient service possible when making their research results or teaching materials available. Using modern technical solutions.
However, two (not exactly typical) librarians cannot cope with this work without technical support.
