Opening of Guara Muuga’s plant illustration exhibition

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on December 4 at 4:00 PM. Botanist Toomas Kukk will speak about Guara Muuga’s work as a plant illustrator.

On display are the botanical drawings from the books „Metsa- ja niidutaimed“ (1978), „Umbrohud ja prahitaimed“ (1984), as well as the unpublished „Soo- ja veetaimed“, along with a selection of black-and-white original drawings from Volume 11 of "Eesti NSV floora / Flora of the Estonian SSR".

This gives visitors a unique opportunity to see scientific illustrations in their original form. The exhibition also features a selection of books that Muuga illustrated either fully or partially
