Instructions for submitting the thesis

All theses are preserved and made accessible in the digital archive of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, EMU DSpace.

Please submit your thesis via the Estonian University of Life Sciences self-service portallink opens in new page so that we can upload it to the digital archive.

You can submit your master's thesis through the Estonian University of Life Sciences self-servicelink opens in new page by selecting the Master's thesis submission form from the available thesis submission forms or by using the shortcutlink opens in new page.

In both cases, you will need to log in to the portal using an ID card, Mobile-ID, or Smart-ID. A third party (e.g., a specialist of academic affairs) can also submit your master's thesis on your behalf if you do not have login access.

Upon first login, you will be asked to provide an email address so that the system can send notifications regarding the submitted master's thesis.

All files that are part of the thesis (full text, appendices, technical drawings, etc.) must be sent as a DiciDoc container signed digitally by the author(s) and supervisor(s).  If you or your supervisor do not have an Estonian ID card and certificates for signing, uploading the thesis as a PDF fail is allowed. The full text of the thesis must be in PDF and the text should not be secured (text must be copyable). File names in the container must include information about the author of the theses, year of graduation, degree (BA, MA, RAK), study program (LS, AR, MH, EG, etc.), and an explanation of the fail contents (full text or extra).

In both cases, you will need to log in to the portal using an ID card, Mobile-ID, or Smart-ID.

A third party (e.g., a specialist of academic affairs) can also submit your doctoral thesis on your behalf if you do not have login access.

In addition to the pdf file of your doctoral thesis, you must also add popular scientific summaries both English and Estonia (each up to 2000 characters). Also, 3-5 keywords that describe the content of PhD thesis in English.
