Plagiarism detection program

When preparing theses and other academic papers, it is important to properly reference the works of other authors used in the writing process. Several systems have been developed for plagiarism detection, and at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the plagiarism detection system StrikePlagiarismlink opens in new page is used.

• StrikePlagiarism is a plagiarism detection system procured by the Ministry of Education and Research, and its usage rights have been purchased for the Estonian University of Life Sciences under a consortium agreement. The aim of the program is to prevent plagiarism and to raise awareness about academic integrity.
   
• The plagiarism detection system can be accessed through the StrikePlagiarism web platform and Moodle.
   
• The program is available for use by all academic staff of the university. Students cannot use the program independently.
