Kadri Kangilaski: In my artistic work, I have always trusted my intuition and followed inspiration. As a painter, I have often been captivated by flowers—by their perfection and transience. In this exhibition, they symbolize the inner processes of giving and dedication in my paintings.
This exhibition also features paintings of flower buds, which have recently especially fascinated me. To me, they represent the perfect potential force of life. In the buds lie deep, unseen, yet-to-be-revealed knowledge about life.
Light gives us the impression of colors and, together with shadows, reveals forms.
I am interested in how to create an image from this enchanting illusion—an illusion on the canvas—so that the inner power of the blossoms and buds is still expressed in these representations.
Everyone interested is warmly welcome!
