The university student cap has long been more than just a piece of student attire. It embodies the university’s identity, traditions, and values. From the days of the Estonian Agricultural Academy to the present, the design and significance of the cap have evolved alongside the university’s name, symbols, and changing times.
Come and discover how the student cap of the Estonian University of Life Sciences and its predecessor institutions has changed over the years.
The Estonian University of Life Sciences alumni reunion was marked by a student cap exhibition organized by the library. Over the past 75 years, students have worn five different versions of the university’s student cap.
Many thanks to all the alumni and students who contributed their student caps to the exhibition and shared the colorful memories and stories associated with them.
To learn more about the history of the student caps, visit the article on the Estonian University of Life Sciences website (in estonian) Eesti Maaülikooli tekkellink opens in new page.
The exhibition is open until 26 September. We warmly welcome you to visit!
