The thesis submission platform of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, launched in May, has been well received by users.
We have already implemented the first round of user-suggested improvements, and several additional ideas are still under consideration.
During the meeting, representatives of Piksel OÜ introduced new functionalities that could be incorporated into the environment.
Why does our university need this self-service environment?
All theses are stored and made accessible in the university's digital archive, EMU DSpace. In order for the library to upload a thesis to the archive, it must be submitted via the Estonian University of Life Sciences’ self-service environmentlink opens in new page.
To ensure secure submission, students must log in using an ID card, Mobile ID, or Smart ID. If the student is unable to log in, a third party (e.g. a study management specialist) may submit the thesis on their behalf.
Every beginning can be challenging, but we are happy to provide guidance and support.
The self-service environment can also be easily accessed through the library’s websitelink opens in new page.
